Low Carb Snack Attack!
We all know fat is more filling than carbs, but every now and then you get a hankering for something to snack on and you NEED some low carb snacks. Whether it’s salty, sweet or frosty, we all need a moment to enjoy something in between meals. Being on a diet shouldn’t mean all snacks are thrown out the window, being on a diet means learning what your body needs and how to best provide for it. If your body is craving something salty, there are ways of indulging without setting yourself back. There are ways of eating even brownies and cakes that won’t undo all your progress.

Snacks That Require No Prep
- Pork rinds
- Seeds (sunflower, pumpkin)
- Laughing Cow cheese (full fat)
- Hummus
- Dark chocolate or Stevia sweetened chocolate (like Lily’s or ChocoPerfection)
- Seaweed
- String cheese
- Jerky
- Nuts (walnuts, pecans, brazil nuts, macadamia)
- Cherry tomatoes (relatively lower in carbs. Pairs well with fresh mozzarella, basil and olive oil!)
- Avocados
- Sardines (sprinkle Old Bay seasoning and munch!)
- Nut butters (peanut, almond, cashew, coconut)
- Pickles
- Sugar-free Jello
- Quest bars
Snacks That Need A Little Prep
- Roll ups: salami/pepperoni, any deli meats (careful of cured/smoked turkeys), any deli cheeses rolled up
- Jalapeno poppers
- Hard boiled eggs
- Bacon (when isn’t it a good time for bacon?)
- Bulletproof coffee
- Kale chips
- Fat bombs
- Keto Lava Cake
- Sugar-free Jello mixed with heavy cream or whipped cream
- Frozen berries blended with heavy cream
- Homemade ice cream
- Butter (eaten with dark chocolate or peanut butter. Trust us, it’s amazing)
- Protein shake
- Cucumber boats (filled with cream cheese, or tuna salad)
